This table runner is a combination of the three most used patchwork techniques – appliqué, piecing and paper foundation piecing. It then moves on to quilt construction and tricks on how to enlarge the project with use of frames, sashing and borders. the last two classes are about layering your quilt into a sandwich and a couple of simple quilting techniques and binding to complete your table runner.

This introductory classes for beginner quilters are taught every second week.  Contact me to find out when the next class is starting.  In this sampler quilt, you will learn all the basic quilting principles and find out which ones you like or not.  This course is about getting a broader perspective on a smaller scale. The blocks combine in a pleasing matter as usable table runner or it can also be adapted as a foot throw for a bed. The individual blocks can be used to make into throw or quilt.

It is a great class to do if you want to take the frustration out of quilting.  Little tips can make a huge difference.

Classes are kept small for this course to ensure enough attention to everyone.

The classes are presented at 40 Ilkey Road, Lynnwood Glen Estate, Pretoria, 0081.

This table runner is a combination of the three most used patchwork techniques – appliqué, piecing and paper foundation piecing. It is also important to learn how to read a quilt pattern and how to accurately calculate the cutting sizes of the blocks. This project can be completed in 7 classes.

The price is R150 per class of three hours. Total course consists of 7 classes. 

The price doesn’t include fabric, thread or any sewing notions. All patterns will be supplied and in cases of specialized techniques, the materials will also be included.  The quilt can be made in any color scheme and also from scraps in the same colour scheme.

A list of supplies will be send before every class.
